Last week, Apple introduced some cool new products.  Here is summary. New Phones – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus   http://www.apple.com/iphone-6/ http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/09/meet-the-iphone-6-plus/ Features:   ü  The iPhone 6 will have a 4.7-inch screen, while the Plus has a 5.5-inch screen.  For perspective, both phones are slightly smaller than Samsung’s Galaxy S5 ü  Both phones will have a retina HD display ü  Both devices will be thinner than the iPhone 5S ü  Landscape mode has been updated, and will also work on the Home screen ü  The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will also boast a faster A8 processing chip. (The performance is 50 times faster than the original iPhone) ü  Battery life is equal or better in all categories than the 5S ü  Wi-Fi is three times faster than 5S ü  Video and camera updates ü  Color – the iPhones will be available in gold, silver and space grey ü  Cost – the iPhone 6 starts at $199 for the 16 GB model, $299 for a 64 GB model and $399 for a 128 GB model. The iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299, going to $499   Apple Pay – mobile payment business   http://www.apple.com/apple-pay/ http://online.wsj.com/articles/apple-introduces-payment-service-called-apple-pay-1410286677 Apple Pay will also be enabled with apps such as Target, Groupon and Uber. Other retailers including McDonald’s, Nike, Subway and Whole Foods will support Apple Pay   Apple Watch   The Watch will require the iPhone to use. It scrolls lists, zooms in and out and navigates to the home screen ü  Users can customize their watch face, or even tweak features of the face itself ü  The Watch boasts an accelerometer, gyroscopes and sensors to check your pulse (for fitness apps). Marcel Fernandez, age 17, won the Guinness Book of World Record’s title of the fastest texter worldwide. This physics student became a skilled mobile texter after his desktop monitor became faulty and his iPhone was his primary means for getting everything done. With the help of the Flesky keyboard app, he typed the follow 25-word paragraph into his smartphone in 18.19 seconds: “The razor-toother piranhas of the genera serrasalmus and pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world.  In relaity they seldom attack a human.”  Fernandez beat a previous teen who typed the paragraph in 18.44 seconds this past January.
