Accessing Information Like Weather Tops Smartphone Activities
A recent study by the Online Publishers Association and Frank Magid Associates surveyed what Americans are actually doing on their smartphones. One of the key findings from the study showed that 96% of smartphone users downloaded at least one app in the past year with 36 apps being the average.
Smartphone penetration in the USA passed 50% in February, 2012, according to some studies, and the Magid study shows 2013 projected smartphone ownership to reach 57%. 52% of those users are male.
